Amanda completed a yearlong internship where she ran both group and individual counseling sessions to help those struggling with addiction. After completing her internship, she spent several years with the company eventually moving up to office manager.

She has experience working with programs to treat anger management, counsel domestic violence survivors, counsel domestic violence offenders, and teach effective parenting skills. She then held the role of director of outpatient at New Day Recovery working with co-occurring disorders such as addiction, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Amanda is trained in EMDR therapy and is currently working towards her certification.

Amanda’s focus is on working together to provide a safe and confidential environment while communicating with clients one-on-one and in group settings to help them overcome personal obstacles to achieve their counseling goals.  This is achieved by helping clients to identify and subdue unhealthy thought patterns while discovering and implementing healthier coping skills through clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions.
